She has worked with children with special needs as a psychologist for the Department of Disabilities and at St Vincent’s Hospital as a clinician specialising in assessments for dual disabilities (mental health and intellectual disabilities). Malini continues to have a keen interest in collaborating and working on projects to develop innovative clinical practice for children and adults with special needs and is currently exploring Precision Teaching in her clinical practice.

At Change for Life, Malini is offering paediatric services that include assessments for formulating diagnoses, funding applications, and Early Intervention (EI) Programs for children and families with additional needs.

Malini supervises a targeted ABA program at Change for Life for ASD, Level 3. Malini is committed to educating and teaching via speaking engagements, training workshops, and journalistic writing to incease community awareness and support for mental health and disabilities.

For adults and children in her general psychology practice, Malini provides therapy for depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, specific phobias, OCD type behaviour, panic attacks, and culturally and lingustically diverse issues. She offers secondary consultation and support for court reports, complex dual disability issues, and funding support packages.

On a personal note, Malini’s passion for her work started as a young child growing up in a small town in India. Her mother Mrs Kanchan Singh was raised in an orphanage and educated herself to get a scholarship to study disabilites in the USA. She returned and followed her vision of starting disability education as part of mainstream education and co-founded the first school of its kind in Uttar Pradesh in 1975. She worked tirelessly throughout her life to promote disability awareness and community support. Malini is committed to continue that legacy in her work. She is a wife and mother juggling a busy life and enjoys music, creative writing, and bushwalking.
